Not sure why that pic came out so small, I sent it from my phone at work.
Let's try this...
That one's a little bigger.
With the nozzle you get a very narrow stream that would cut a fish in half! :o J/K... unless you are running a 1500 gph Dart return.
Remember the Flare vs. Nozzle discussion? Here is a good example of the two. The machine at work uses 3/4" loc-line and you can see two flares, left and middle, and a nozzle on the right.
You could still cycle the tank with no lights. ;)
Home depot has those single and triple outlet GFCI near where they sell the extension cords. Plug ins are about your only option other than inwall outlets.
I live in a two bedroom apt. and everything is electric, even the stove. I also have central air. I keep at 74 during the day and down to 72 at night and my wife likes to have a fan on for white noise. Computer runs 24/7 with a 22" CRT, my 32" TV is old school and I have Wii, PS2, blueray...
I'll come over to you so that you don't have to put the tank in and out of the car. Just give me a call when you want me to head over. What's Oliver up to, how did he make out with the sump?
Mike's lemonade is always cool and refreshing. :D
I love nerds! I always get fun dip with my overflows.
Let me know when the party is. ;)
Tip on the return pump, make sure you don't have the pump turned all the way down. LoL I thought the flow was a little weak, didn't seem like the 600+ gph it should be. Turns out it was only at about 200 gph.
Awesome! Another local nano reefer! :D I'm not too far from you, I'm on the other side of Watchung/Warren in Stirling.
I have a 20L frag tank running a DIY Rapid LED build in a gutted old PC fixture. I'm not running a sump but I have a Subcurrent internal filter.
Interested in hearing your...
You could:
1. Treat the bad rock with the rest of the tank using Tech M.
2. Cook the rock (maybe a peroxide soak?).
3. Kill the rock like a sun dried tomato.
Since I was a little slow in realizing that my RKL has ATO capability, I bought two JBJ ATOs for my tanks, one most recently in February. I have one tank running on the RKL now and have a JBJ I'm not using. I can give ya a good deal on a lightly used JBJ ATO. Free installation included! ;)
If you want I can stop by and take a look and give you a second opinion.
If it is byropsis, byropsis can be killed with tech M, turf algae is impossible to kill.
Ok, that glass isn't too bad, should go quick like the 40. :D
The round nozzle produces a very narrow stream of flow and the flared produce a much wider flow pattern. Most people, including myself, run the flares.
Any idea how thick the glass is on that tank? The 40 was nothing compared to the 65. It took me 2 hours, 3 batteries for the drill and 4 beers to drill the 65.
Knowing the thickness of the glass, we can know what and how many provisions we need. ;) :D
