Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I agree with the Candi on the Sexy. We tried them in our 120 and they didn't last too long. After about a week, something in there determined they were edible! It was a bit of struggle to find them too. IMO, they are almost too subtle for a tank that size.
We have had no problems with skunks...
The club still has some left over from the last group buy. We have 5# bags which sell for $32. I can bring one to the meeting tomorrow if you're interested.
Congrats and welcome back Jeff. Buckle up and prepare for the wild ride!
Tina, thanks for stepping up and volunteering to help out. There are some BIG things coming for us in the near future. I hope you are still willing and able to lend a hand as needed.
Geeze, you've got to be kidding me! They disqualified her for that! That's pretty lousy, but as they so autocratically say "rules are rules" (best said with your nose pinched so you sound nasally and whiney).
I agree with Billy about trying to get away from chemically addressing it. Figure out the source and try to eliminate it. In the meantime, it's a good idea to siphon out as much as you can.
We had a bad cyano outbreak on our 65g tank. It was there for a long while. We had a bad ballast in the...
Oh man, I'm ready to pack my bags and head out there right now! That sounds like a great place to go.
BTW twan, congrats on your upcoming wedding! Good luck and have a safe trip.
Yeah but it really stinks when you pay all that money for a BRAND SPANKING NEW cylinder, all shiney and clean, and the first time you take back to the SAME PLACE to get it filled they take it and hand you back an old one they just took from someone else. When it happened to me I was just...
I created a small "cup" with a piece of 1.5" PVC and a cap. I have that sitting above the water line in my sump. I put the pH probe in it and have the effluent line drain into it. It's not quite as responsive as reading the pH in the reactor but it's not too bad.
Russ, it was great meeting you and the gang. Thanks again for the hospitality.
I like the idea of taking over a wing in Altanta! I still don't think we exceeded the maximum room capacity of 5 by too many. What's a factor of 10 between friends!
Sorry to hear that Damon. Like Carlo said, I commend you for taking a chance at trying to give the lil' guy a shot. You know a lot of other people looked at it and just walked on by. It says a lot that you were concerned enought to try.
