without picture is kind of difficult to vision what exactly what you need. however, taking a wild guess, you can use the 1.25 drain line, then Tee to two 1" line to your sump or whatever... (not sure this answered your question) good luck.

if the space allowed, i once saw someone have a 12g nano tank with a 20g garbage container as a sump under the table - to increase the water volume, also more room to do the refugeum and skimmer stuff in that container.

i assume that tank would be separated from the rest of your system then? otherwise, would it be some how have (seed) float to your main tank eventually?

Danny, do you really required faster grow? ;) IMHO, as long as the slower-grow is NOT cause of any trouble/parameters issue(s) with my tank, i would rather to have 12K with better color, less heat, less time to rearrange, cut... corals... (less maintenance)... ;) for people to grow corals...
