Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Here are the two ideas I have:
The one without doors is similar to my current canopy. The big challenge we had was getting a tight miter joint on the connection of the front and side panels. Also, the diagonal cut running up the sides was a bit of a bear. Of course the one in the corner of...
Thanks for all of the offers for help. At this point, I'm really looking to see if I can get it done affordably. There is so much going on right now that I don't have the time to put to it to do it right.
Mike, what would you need from me to get a quote from your guy?
Thanks!
Anyone know of a good custom cabinet maker/woodworker in the Monmouth-Ocean County area? I'm looking for someone who can make a canopy like my current one, only nicer.
TIA
You know what I found extremely interesting tonight? Is the way your leg twitches just before you fall asleep!
Wow, that was weeeeaaakkk. I love how they bring up these "life-long" demons of Tony for the first time ever. Only 5 to go, and another non-player, just introduced in this episode is...
Re: Sliconing the baffles
I did pretty much the same thing as everyone else. I marked the baffle locations on the outside glass with a Sharpie. Then put the center one in first and siliconed each side. I then put a bead on the inside of the line and mushed the outside baffle into it. I used a...
Sorry to hear that, Ed and please pass along our condolences to your wife.
Just remember that you've got a lot of friends here to support you two. If there's anything you need, just say the word and we're on it.
Can you give a little detail about your system? How many gallon display? Do you have a sump/fuge?
Typically if you have a few pods, you have a lot of pods, you just may not see them. If you have a fuge, you can put a bunch of empty snail shells in it and let the pods "move in". Every so often...
Thanks for the info, Carlo. I'll continue to dose my Mg solution a little bit every day to get it up to where I want and then see if the dolomite can maintian it. The rough part is that everything needs to happen so slowly. It just seems to take forever with little measurable progress on a daily...
They have those faux marble and granite spray paints. I've seen some applications that look pretty good. I've never used it personally though, so I have no idea how hard it is to get it to look good.
Thanks a lot Gabe. That one looks pretty good, too.
I just did some research and I found that the right mix in the reactor should be 80% media and 20% dolomite. I think my first step is going to be to bump up the ratio and see if that helps. I'll dose B-Ionic and a wet Mag solution to get the...
We used TM Pro for a while and honestly never saw any difference in our system so we switched back to RC. It's a pretty good salt for the money.
Carlo, my top off process is completely automated. I have a float switch in the sump that draws water from a 55g drum when needed. That drum has a...
