Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Nice drawings, Jose! What program did you use for them?
One thing that looks a little funky is having your return lines coming out right in front of your overflow box. If it were me, I'd have it on the opposite side of the tank so that you ensure some circulation. Other than that, I like the...
I have a few questions about adding/maintaining trace elements in our system. Right now we're running an ARM/Dolomite mix through a CR-6 Dual Stage Ca Reactor. The ratio is about 10 cups of ARM to 1 cup of Dolomite. We spent a lot of time mixing them together so I'm pretty sure it's a...
I never saw it but I heard it's good. Isn't this the last season? I thought I heard that they stopped that competition due to the number of people lost each year. Those are some pretty hardy SOB's, though!
I'm sure you can find a local handyman in the Business Services section of the paper. Just remember, you get what you pay for. If you go the cheapest route you may not be happy with the outcome.
Installing fences in our area is REALLY easy. The ground is all sand and easy to dig. I put in more...
It's always good to have a plan! Sticking with it . . . . now that's the challenge (for me at least)!
Good luck. Going anywhere good for your vacation?
Sorry to hear that Wendy. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
We're local so we can help feed fish and birds and dogs and spiders and whatever else you may need fed!
I went to my first meeting in July of 2005. I've been to every one since then. Going into today it was a string of 21 great meetings in a row . . . . . and . . . .today keeps the string alive!
Great meeting Steve! Thanks so much to you and your family for opening up your beautiful home to all...
4/22 Update:
Well, just when you think the show has hit rock bottom, they break out the old backhoe and dig a little deeper . . . .
Obligatory violence with minor/new characters doesn't quite cut it. This can't end fast enough!
I have a 5lb and a 10lb and They last a really long time. I've been running the 10lb for at least 6 months now, probably longer. The 5lb is sitting there filed and waiting for its turn! I just got into the red zone of the 10lb (around 400lbs left), so I should have about 3 - 4 weeks left on it...
A lot of people buy them and refill that at industrial welding supply places. There was some traffc a while ago about using food grade C02 but I'm not sure what ever came of that. I use the stuff from a welding pace and it seems fine.

Holy Guacamole, Mike! That is absolutely stunning! Very beautiful work. Someone I know just got a 180g, any tips on how I . . . . I mean "he" may be able to make something that nice himself?
Looks great. I like the stars, it's a nice touch. The "supervisor" in pic 3 looks like he's wondering who blew the break bell, though!
And most importantly:
To NJRC!
In my opinion, the main advantage of not sending all of the water through the fuge is related to flow rates. You want to give water a little more resonance time in the fuge to allow filtration to take place. If the flow rate is too high, the fuge doesn't work as well as it could. But, you...
They're all standard flow chart stencils. I "built" the components all on my own. Basically, I'd put together all of the elements of something, like a ball valve, and when I got it the way I wanted it I'd select the whole thing and make a group out of it. I'd then cut, paste and re-size that...
