Heya T, welcome aboard!
Almost sounds like you're running one of my tanks. I have 3 IM nanos atm (nuvo 10g, shallow lagoon 25g, abyss drop off 20g). All upgraded Sicce pumps with spin streams, Red Sea Pro salt and Cobalt heaters. Great set ups.
I use Caribsea Special Grade Reef sand on all...
I've got a fuge running that breeds amphipods like crazy. Some of them are big enough to be seen moving from a few feet away, 1/8" - 3/16", even have a few that may be 1/4".
Possible its simply that?
Or maybe a baby Bobbit worm?
Best bet is to start with a small CuC (clean up crew). CuCs are made up of, usually, hermit crabs and/or snails.
Hermits scour the rock and sand eating detritus, and may nip corals occasionally.
Snails work the sand and the glass and leave corals alone.
A mix of the two won't work long term as...
Agree with mnat, a pair of flashers would be nice. Even with a previous tank in periphery, I'd be distracted when my wrasse flashed.
Never been done before, but at least you'd make the news...
The suspect walked into a local fish shop earlier today, handing the clerk a note reading, 'Do not...
How bigs the Red Sea? I'm assuming it has a sump. You really cant have a skimmer thats too large, its one of the few instances that bigger is usually better.
Arguably the single best piece of equipment I've bought for my tanks. One of the few pieces of equipment I use regularly over years and never worry about.
Agreed with 1/2 cup per gallon...
BUT! You also need a TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter to determine that the RODI is producing what you need. You may already have one built into your RODI, it is usually a small box with a digital display and an in/out slider.
When switched on and on the 'In'...
If we're doing a coral auction/trade the cube with the heater would be a good thing. No need for RODI in it, the frags should be well sealed (or they can be clipped to the edge of the tank.
Guess the big question is - are we doing an auction? If so, do we have a vendor and picker-upper?
Joe,
I’ve got a table saw and chop saw with blades that should do well, i cut my previous sump sections with them pretty accurately. If you want to stop by at some point we can give it a go.

Follow instructions. In the case of Chemiclean 'just a tiny bit more' can mean disaster.
Also, the tank is under a month since setup. Cyano and diatomes are expected, if they didn't happen it means something is wrong. Might be worth just doing water changes and riding it out. Shame to start...
Per Jenkinsons. I'm in and happy to cover the staff that helps us out.
If no other NJRC staff replies, as its such short notice, I'll cover the costs myself if need be.
Head count is going to be tough on short notice, but when we did a tour last year we had approx 20. I would guess we would have...
Its a hang on fuge, so its near my return.
Don't think it matters as long as its in flow, near surface, and under light.
If I still had my traditional under tank sump/fuge I would have clipped it somewhere near the surface close to my light.
If the stuff grows on dividers, return heads, pumps...
