My wife dug out a box of photos a few days back and I was surprised to find this 30 year old pic...
That's a HH3F Sikorsky Pellican. Best rotary wing aircraft ever made, complete with old school desk (behind me) to lay out my maps on and clip your pen to - analog all the way, baby. Bet its...
So, having helped organize the 'Drink Tank Challenge' and gone a bit overboard on my design, I'm unable to continue.
Here's the build post...
DTC Build - Mark_C
Up for grabs is everything pictured ('cept the uke). Custom stand, light, light timer, air pump, tubing, air stones, jar (drilled)...
Dear Lord you guys need to meet my wife. She's got the masters degrees in acupuncture, oriental medicine, and herbology stuff. Always on about mushrooms, ginger tea, blah, blah, blah.
Me, I'm simple. Like zoas with the odd shroom in the tank.
Got a few zoas, single head, freeish, can easily cut...
Cheato needs a good light source to survive. I dropped the bags of cheato to you at the meet. At tank move they were pretty much dead and were probably leeching phosphates into the system, but, with the size of your tank, the phosphates probably weren't enough to cause any concern.
This is...
Going to have to withdraw folks.
Had to shift a few tanks around and there is no space for the pico.
Willing to trade the setup for a frag.
I'll still moderate, happily, and I look forward to seeing whats building.
My pest tank (GSP, xenia, kenya) I started last year has grown like nuts and is...

DTC Build - Mark_C
Tank, sand, live rock, air stones, heater, tubing, pump, home made stand, and full spectrum light (with timer). Plug and play. There's even one or two mini brittle stars in there.
I bought a 'rehab machine' to get back post surgery and it requires me to shift my...
I'm hoping it was TOS (the original series), as we all know it had the best sci-fi writers of the time and is currently consider a classic to be enjoyed with a fine snifter.
Hope everything smooths out and stabilizes with your wife. MS is a crap draw of the deck. Hoping she has a good pain...
You're about an hour away from me.
Saying that, I know how a simple pump fail can cause a catastrophic event, and what may be a cause of anxiety to a tank owner can be an easy fix for a fellow reef keeper.
We have a number of members closer to you, but if no one is available let me know.
I can't...
Hi Cvec!
Welcome aboard, sorry its under the circumstances you describe.
Couple of things...
We do have a 'for sale' section, as well as a 'for trade' and 'free' section, but these are only available to paid members... $12 a year, no big deal. Sure at your prices they'd sell fast enough here...
Lets all pressure Trio!
Yoooouuuuuu nneeeeeedddd thisssssss.
I'd snag it myself if I we're still into the big tanks.
Now a days I have to find places for the small ones.
Depends, I have both.
Running a 10g pest tank (GSP, Xenia, etc) that was constantly in need of maintenance, got rid of the sand and all is groovie.
Had a 25g softie reef that was bare botttom and kept having diatome probs and algae ggroowth, dropped in 15 pounds of sand all all well there.
Just...
No worries, and welcome to NJRC.
We're always interested in helping those in the hobby and we're often restocking each other post disasters.
Sorry if my doubts are offensive, but we've seen a number of folks who sign up and immediately post for equipment.
(Just got your PM)
Lets see how it works...
Dude! Sorry to hear.
Had the same problem and my 65 and 90 had to go.
BUT, a 25g IM shallow reef, with softies, a small few non-demanding SPS, and a couple of fish, takes me about 15 minutes a week for full maintenance, no dosing, no computer, no testing... just a 2.5g water and filter floss...
