    Green Hairy Mushroom - Free - 08012

Does anybody want this Green Hairy Mushroom rock? Not sure how many are on the rock, it's about 2.5" and there's at least a few. Free, looking to clear up some space on the sand. Pickup is in Blackwood, 08012. I'd hate to just toss it.

    To "led"...or not to "led"...

I just switched out my old MH/VHO setup over to LEDs. I did a little research and found the Arctic S026 to be a decent on-off LED with manual dimmers for a very reasonable price. I got two for my 90, so far it's only been a week, but everything is responding well so far. Time will tell, but...

    HOB overflow vs Drilled

I can't picture what you're looking to do, maybe if you draw something up and post it, it would make it easier to picture.

    HOB overflow vs Drilled

I've drilled my 20 gallon sump, but never could get myself to drill my 90. I've been running an Eshoppes overflow, just the dual model. I have an eggcrate lid over the internal box, to keep any snails out of the tubes. And I periodically turn it off and clean the tubes of algae. If...

    Full spectrum LEDs and acans

I've got LEDs coming this week too. Curious to see what this does to my corals, colors, etc. I'm going to start low and slowly ramp them up over the weeks, since I've been reading that you need to acclimate them to LEDs.

    Can anyone ID this crab?

They don't look safe to me, they've got very pointy claws. Maybe for a FOWLR, with larger fish. I wouldn't trust them in my tank.

Fragging a leather in the tank?

I used to frag my finger leather, which got huge, right in the tank. I would reach into the tank with a clean pair of scissors and snip. I would throw in some fresh carbon just in case, but never had any issues. It's probably best to do out of the tank, but sometimes that's not an option. I...

Could the Cujo coral get an ID??

Doesn't look like any galaxea I ever had. Looks like something I had pop up in my tank prior to rearranging the rockwork. No idea what it is.

    Giant Eel

It probably would have escaped from the old Koi pond. I hear eels are real good escape artists.

    Giant Eel

I saw that monster too. It looks way too big for the tank it's in and it's in a big tank. On Liveaquaria it says they get 8', so it's still got some growing to do. To me, it didn't look too lively, just laying in the middle of the tank. Usually the eels have their heads up, where this guys...
