I didn't think the black vinyl tubing was that hard to find. I havn't actually picked it up yet. According to the website, they have 4 at Deptford. I'm actually goign to check Lowes in Lumberton (near work) and see if they have it by the foot.
Great job. I know from experience that crap can drive you crazy. I had an issue a while back and constant running and changing of GFO solved mine too. Mine was never as bad as yours. I see you were able to fix your issue pretty quickly. I wasn't changing my GFO as much as I should have and...
Haha. My wife is already getting nervous that I'm planing on redoing this. She has this idea that things usually don't go right the first time. OK, maybe that's true sometimes, but I think I've got a good handle on this one. Hopefully.
OK, thanks. I like the flexability of tubing. I've always used hose clamps over the tubing/barbs. I don't trust it without, I'd probably be at work when it popped off.
I tried Aq. Center for the loc-line, which they have. They have a bin of loose fittings, but the employees couldn't tell me a price. They said the boss would know the cost and he wasn't in until the week days around 10 - 2. I didn't want to wait any longer, plus I can't get over there at that...
Yeah I think I'll be going with the flared ends, I like the idea of spreading the flow out. And yes, the knuckle joints is what I was refering to. Thanks.
This gives me options. Thanks for the links guys. Are they watertight, or do they get saltcreep around the ball joints over time? I considered them in the begining but was told they're not watertight, so I passed. Plus, is the tool required or just for easier assembly?
It looks like a loc-line or two might be the way to go. The kit is a good price. Only thing is it comes with the narrow nozzles, and adding the wide one is 3/4 as much as the whole kit. Would there be a benefit to using the wide one versus the narrow?
Paul - I'm guessing you have a check...
My tank's been running for over 7 years and I'm looking to redo the return hose and possibly the fittings entering the tank. I currently have a 3/4" clear hose coming out of the return pump, it then splits through a 'Y' and runs through (2) clear 3/4" hoses into (2) separate PVC return...
Something doesn't sound right. My RO/DI unit is used for an auto top off and to fill a storage container. My TDS reading will go up slightly when it's off, but it immediately goes down when it starts up. I have it before and after the filter. My DI also lasts for a few months and it's the...
Here's a link to the place I got mine at: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RD150-AQUARIUM-CORAL-REEF-REVERSE-OSMOSIS-RO-2-DI-WATER-FILTER-FILTRATION-SYSTEM-/350490588532?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item519addf574
I've been using it for 8+ years. I usually buy my replacement filters from BRS. The good...
I just use the same food I feed my fish, frozen mysis or frozen brine. I wait until the lights are out for an hour or so, this way the fish are asleep. I thaw out the food, use a turkey baster to suck it up and then direct feed most of the feeders I can find. I do this with my acans, candy...
Looks like a great start. I'm partial to the LPS too. Love the way they sway in the current.
If the clowns showed signs of ich, then just leave the tank without fish for about 6 - 8 weeks. But, if they didn't show any signs, then you should be able to try a fish again. Was the 2nd clown a...
