Big UPS cost $$ and warranty is void if used on aquariums. Jersey is OK for getting away with heaters off for a lil time, its most important to keep the water oxygenated and either skip feeding or cut back (depending if your fish can deal with it) to reduce pollution.
It was enough time to get the generator up, but getting over a day of the wavemaker running is definitely easier in the mind. I haven't looked into the specs, I thought only ecotech made backups, but just learned about that icecap made backups thats compatible with different brands from this...
I got a old thread from doing some tests with the CyberSurge ST900U. Its better than nothing, especially when your using a wavemaker that doesn't have a dedicated backup. I do plan on getting a icecap backup battery for my gyre, as the only ones I've seen for sale at the time were for...

You need a seperate tank to treat ich as coral and inverts dont tolerate the types of meds used to treat it. Some fish also cant tolerate some meds, so you gotta find out how wrasses are treated. Do you have...
I got a cyberpower UPS that had 4 outlets for non battery and 4 that do use it, a 5W wave maker is connected to the battery back up and brand new got 7h, year and a half later (now) im getting only 4 hours. They are better than nothing but go bad quick and likely need to replace the battery, so...
Variety and vitamen supplements for frozen food like shrimp/squid/silversides. I use garlic too, but not really sure if its a gimmick or if its beneficial.
Its hard to balance with your ato since its inconsistent, but if your corals are in the more forgiving side, and you test regularly, you can adjust as it goes. Probably not recommended if you need very stable parameters.
You can try adding some pieces of rock from other trusted established tanks to help diversify bacteria and other microfauna. Also try not to completely bottom out your nutrients, so keep an eye on how much your reactors are stripping from the water.
This is a good read through, you can ID the algae/bacteria, find out what the cause is, and what to do to fix it:

Most importantly is to know what the cause was and trying to prevent it from happening again!
Mangrove has been picking up growth since moving it from the overflow into the main area. I would like to grow the roots out to do a mangrove tank down the road but it will be years before its roots are long enough to self sustain its support. Problem I'm facing now is the leaves will be...
There are covers for power head that make it safer for nems, granted the need ti be cleaned often if you want the powerhead to perform well, it beats a shredded up nem. You can make 1 from a old fish net and fishing line too, just get the cover to be snug, but able to slip it out for cleaning.
