Yeah, there was no shimming my tank. The floor was so uneven that the stand was like a see saw! I have however shimmed my old 90g with the plastic shims from HD.
Well, it's probably not what you want to hear, but I had a leveling problem with my basement floor as well.
I think I had more than a 1/4" difference though. I (with A LOT of help from Phyl and John) poured a concrete pad in the basement. I wasn't comfortable with shimming a large tank, so...
I was looking at that the other day...it really looks interesting. I do wonder if that tube would be a bit small and get clogged?
Are you sure it's hair algae and not Bryopsis? If it looks feathery it's Bryopsis and raising your Magnesium level (1400 i think) would get rid of it.
Plenty of time to register for this meeting! Central meetings are generally the largest...let's pack Rod's place! ;)

Hope to see you ALL there!
Thanks Todd and Danielle! It was a great meeting. I thought your last basement was cool, this one beats it!
It was a monumental meeting as well, Phyl's last as El Presidente! WOW
Mrs. Crosshatch is in the tank and getting to know her new mate..so far so good! :)
Great to see everyone...
I'm just throwing out guesses here...
You would probably need to use a tripod with your aperture wide open and REALLY slow shutter speed. I tried night pics once (with the IC LEDs) I didn't have any luck, they just weren't bright enough. I would like to try it again though!
The Blueline (pressure pump) has no head loss. So it will hold that GPH rating up to it's max head. The Mag 24 will start losing flow in the first few feet. I'm pretty sure the becketts like to have that pressure powering them.
Ya know, I always assumed that Jacob was the good guy. But after re watching the last season...I'm not so sure. He is ALWAYS there when something bad happens to someone...and then his interaction with Ben at the end...I'm not so sure about that now.
I think that's exactly right. Locke is dead, that "other guy" has taken over Locke's appearance (somehow) and got to Jacob. Now the question is...Is Jacob really dead? and who the heck is he?!
I don't seem to have that problem with my MRC. My biggest problem is the air injectors clogging. Do you have any type of strainer on the intake of the skimmer? I've been running my MRC for a few years without ever having anything get caught in the gate valve...although I don't actually know how...
