Happy Birthday to my big sis, Phyl!
I would tell you to kick back and have a wine cooler and take break from all the hard work you have been doing...but I know you won't!
Hope you have a great day today! :)
Is it not reaching the collection cup possibly? I know on my old venturi skimmer you could slide the outlet pipe up and down to raise the water level in the skimmer itself. Maybe you just need to raise the level in the skimmer. I also used to submerge the suction hose in freshwater while it was...
Ok, well since you're calling me out on it...I did take a bunch of pictures but my lens was just a bit dirty...it looked like snow in the tank!
So I need to take more...lol
I agree...you forgot the best part.. The parts inside aren't made of stainless steel (I'm assuming) so when the water gets inside, it eventually rusts and they fall apart. I've had two of these do the same exact thing...
Sorry to hear about the crack, I had a tank crack on me as well...except it was a 240 gallon! I'm sure you'll get past this and have something bigger and better to enjoy!
I can be 100% sure, but I don't THINK you can put a Durso in a a HOB overflow. Are you just looking to cut down on noise? When I had HOB's I would get a piece of acrylic and cut it to size and use it as a cover...worked well for that.
The difference is, no bio balls. Sumps usually have more "useable" area as well. Meaning that you can put heaters, reactors and skimmers in them. You can also add baffles to help with micro bubbles.
