Looking for inexpensive 36" light (or any light good enough for frags) for temporary frag tank. Once DT is running, tank will become QT tank and will switch back to default light that came with tank. Tank is 36 by 12 by 18 tall.

In my every ending quest in my build, I find little gems and I thought I'd share this one. I'm sure you guys have heard about these or already use them. But in case you missed it:

I'm trying to work out my RO/DI salt mixing station design. I'm using two 32g Brutes side by side and plan on sharing a mixing pump between the two using one inch pvc and ball valves. So I'm looking for recommendation for a decent low watts external pump that can connect to one inch pvc.

In the process of looking at plumbing supplies I have found King Brothers on Amazon at insanely low prices compared to other sites. Just thought I'd share.
Also a question on valves, threaded vs slip, whats the consensus on which way to go?
If this is not allowed please delete...
Reefbreeder is doing a Holiday group buy on Reef Central from Nov 17 till Nov 30th.
The prices are private, which is kind of weird...seems you need to order first before getting the pricing???

Been reading some conflicting info regarding refugiums, and I thought I'd throw it out to the seasoned veterans here. I'm sure its an old topic, but it sure is interesting...:emmersed:
I'm thinking of just having my sump=filter socks, skimmer, frag area, return...being a long 6 foot sump...
I've been looking around and researching salt. I used to use Instant Ocean. I see a few more brands are out there and found a site with REALLY good prices. Whats the consensus for salt brand these days.
In my never ending search for aquarium stuff I found this gem. It's in North Jersey. If I had seen it before my 180 purchase, I would be temped to jump on it. With that said I thought I'd share it with the members. Who knows, it could even be a member. I have no affiliation to this seller and...
Hi, I've been hanging around here at NJRC for a little while and recently joined. I've been waiting to pull the trigger on doing this tank, knowing the time, commitment and money it takes to do it right. Even with the tank in the garage right now I even hesitate, but finally have decided to push...
Selling a new, but never used Reeflo pump. It's about 6 years old. I bought it in a package deal with a large aquarium. I called the manufacturer to find out the equivalent model and was told it was equal to the Barracuda. Asking 325.00
Thanks for looking.
I have a 50ft well that has heavy Iron. I water the lawn pre softener and it makes the sidewalk rusty. My household water runs through a large water softening system that uses salt. The water is much better, but at times we notice some iron in much smaller amounts. Also a few years ago we added...
As part of a aquarium purchase I made last week, I received the following pump. The tank, pump and Ocean Motion were never used but were in storage for about 6-7 years. I called the pump company and they think its an older model Barracuda. Does anyone know if it will work well in a basement sump...
I removed a large wall shelf from my home office wall and this is where my 180 will go. I was wondering what type of paint I should use to protect it. I was even thinking of mounting a thin acrylic protective sheet over the new paint around the water line. I was thinking Kilz.
You thoughts...
Selling a brand new, never used Ocean Motion 4 way pump used for closed loop circulation in Aquarium reef tanks. I got it as part of a new tank setup I just bought and do not plan on using a closed loop. Asking 350.00
