About 3/4 of my Zoas in my tank have been closed up for a while. Over a week. Fish and everything (SPS etc) else is fine. Temp, is fine. Only thing different is I have been adding additional Soda ash and calcium to (about once every 10 days)., maintain level additionally to my kalk top off...

I added an algae scrubber and have some cheato running and will be stopping GFO totally.

I wouldn't worry about the ph, mine fluxs better 7.9 and 8.2. I use kalk in the top off.
