I wouldnt rule out cyano just because chemiclean didnt work. Not all solutions work all of the time.

It worked great and I use it once a month on my water storage tank as well.

I decided to follow Jim's method and give it one more shot. I am not ready to give up on my rocks yet!!!! Here is what I set up tonight and the rocks are in there now. It didnt take long for the "stuff" to start floating to the surface....

+1 on this. I too recently had an issue with low due to taking for granted my refractometer was accurate and just neglected to calibrate. Needless to say I was wrong and sg was around 1.021. Now I calibrate everytime I test sg.
