Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I just saw who the mod was that moved your thread and I got one from him too because I had a hyperlink in my signature for my build thread on their site. its not like I was directing people to a totally different site....it was bringing them right back to rc.
I would try to make it work with this stand because you still need to buy a new return pump unless you put a 2" bulkhead on your sump. When we spoke about the dart I had for sale I didnt realize that you already had a 1" drain in the sump. I had questioned reeflo about doing the same thing and...
Take a look at the iwaki or blueline pumps. the 70's on either one should be plenty pump for you.....just a matter of size.
Edit.....just looked at the dims on them and they're 12". whats your stand and sump dimensions again?
Sorry to hear about the nem!
Looking good Rich! As you know I used this method with the pukani rock in my tank and it has proven to be very successful for me. I cured for close to 2 months and that was just because I had plenty of time to do it and didn't want to have problems. I had a small spike when the rocks entered...
Waiting for a tank to cylce is not fun at all however I think you should use some of the rock form your current tank and add to what you got from me as well as any additional rock you got. This way you get the benefit of well seasoned rock in a new system and you can take some time to really...
I bought this about a year ago and it was 6 months old at the time. My original plan was for a closed loop and I decided to go in a different direction. The previous owner used solely for a salt water mixing station. Pump is excellent shape and it comes with a Savko 2" true union ball valve ($50...
So a local guy is breaking down his system after 7 yrs and was practically giving corals away so I picked up a lot of what he had the other day. Here are just a few pictures and I will try to get more later on over the weekend. Its safe to say that my frag tank is packed now!!!!
+++1 on this! My wife was complaining to some family members one time about how much time and money I spend (if she only knew how much money I really spend) on this hobby and now that I have a fish room she's afraid she wont see me at all. She was given the same advice......be happy he's home...
Hey Rich,

Let the cycle begin!!!! I got my salt level dialed in and I added some shrimp last night with a few pieces of live rock from my current system. Everything is running nice and smooth and the drains are extremely quiet. I picked up my new pro cal calcium reactor and spent a little time with...
