Be careful on buying a used chiller. They can work for a few months, then die all of a sudden with no guarantee. Used controllers aren't bad.

I use the Aqua Controller Jr. Never had this problem with it. It does have the battery backup to remember the settings.

Can you call the company and ask them if theres any way to fix this problem?

If thats the case, the fault would be in the house electric. The ground probes only make contact with the ground side of your receptical. In your receptical, there must be a voltage leaking to the ground .

Hi Warren. Welcome to NJRC. You don't need RO water to test the tank. You should use it to start the tank. Trop is a good place for RO or salt water.So are any other LFS's in the area. Phyl and JohnS still have live rock for sale which is cheaper then your LFS. You can by sand from the store...
