Thanks everyone for their input.
Unless Aiptasia comes in different morphs, I doubt this is Aiptasia.
I have had more than my share of Aiptasia when I bought the tank off of someone, so I am well versed in its appearance.
It looks like the pic linked by panmanmatt, just without the color...
Thanks, I was also thinking it may be Majano.
The pic makes it look somewhat like aiptasia, but I have had aiptasia, and this looks different.
I am also assuming pic 2 is different then pic 1, but I have never had Majano so I do not know if it has stages.
I have two Xenia right next to each other.
They split. One for the last couple of days has now shrunk down (typically I see this at night only, but it has been full time for a couple of days)
The other is doing perfectly well.
Any ideas on the cause of this?
And yes that is one of my clowns...
I have a couple of new life forms that have shown up in my tank. I suspect they hitched a ride on the last piece of live rock I added.
Any help is appreciated.
Clear with tentacles.
3 Clear tubes. Sorry for the blurry, but they are small and my camera does not do well with extreme close ups.
Anyone have a review they can share on Anthony Calfo's book on <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0980236509/ref=s9_simz_gw_s3_p14_t1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=182QFPKF099713VKVNT2&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=470938631&pf_rd_i=507846">Coral propagation</a>?

Yes it is a DE. Replacing the MH with a Phoenix 14k was on my list of possible changes. Appreciate hearing others like them.
I was not sure if I should consider changing the T5's as well.
One T5 thought was a UVL 75/25.
I have a 150 W MH with 4 T5 HO (2 on each side of the MH).
I currently have a 10 K on the MH and 420 NM and 460 NM for the T5's.
Once the MH kicks on, I find the tank is too white.
Any thoughts on good combos with MH and T5s?
I believe mine is Cantharus cancellarius.

There is a slide show embedded in the text of the link above that shows the actual feeding.
Well I am happy to report I found the whelk and took him out. (sigh of relief)
I was wondering why my clean up crew kept disapearing. Well I guess I have at least part of the reason solved.
Mr. X, I am not sure if you were joking or serious about wanting it.
I wanted to check on the lighting and flow others are using for Chalice's, Monti's, and Birdsnests.
This is my current understanding. I am looking for the best coloration and health.
Chalice: Medium Light and Medium Flow - About Mid tank if using MH lighting.
Birdsnest: Medium to High...
Just thought it worth mentioning that premium aquatics is a great store with great customer service.
I know a lot of reefers on the site already know this, but I always think it is important to support our good stores/sites.

I think this is one of the great LFS in the area. I have to disagree about the fish.
I have bought some very healthy fish from this store.
I imagine all stores receive some unhealthy fish on occasion.
Not sure if this will help.
This author sites Clams, Large Snails, and Feather dusters.

I believe I have a Whelk, but now I am not sure where it is.
I will look for it again tonight, because I want it out quick.
Any known ways to lure these out?
My error, I misintrepetted this sentence incorrectly. And scanned right past the "tiny" in the preceeding sentence.
Six and Eight Lined Wrasse (P. hexataenia and P. octotaenia) and the Green Wrasse (H. chloropterus)are natural predators.
You can remove them by hand if possible.
I would try to...
Thanks. I believe the Orange and Red are the same species, so that may work. Probably going to see what is available at MACNA first, and then go from there.
