Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
a little more background.
i requested to verify if there were a pair of firefish.
so that may make a difference. you can't retrieve sent messages i think. unless there is an option to start saving sent messages. but overall asked for a pair. and that's why my compression of 2@19.99 were 2FOR1999.
2@19.99each
or 2@19.99
two completely different things. ???
ie: if you go to the grocery and it says 5@5.00 are you going to complain that it said 5@5.00 or 5for5.00 when they ring you up? is it bad wording or a misconception.
like i said not to down aquatic obsessions at all. if i had...
pros: nice looking fish. clean setup. nice frag tank.
cons:
frag tank didn't state prices so i didn't really bother.
first time heading there, lights weren't on so had to go up and down the road a few times.
pm stated: "tailspot 29.99 firefish 2@19.99 w/out discount"
so i got excited and...
;D I really want to go to the next club meeting and seeing 100 people showed up last time this may be a good opportunity to finally meet the rest of all the "reefers". is there anything (food wise) we should specially bring? i'm not that great at deciding what to bring to a party.
please PM me...
I've never seen these before seeing tigahboy's reef on nano-reef and reef central. they are amazing looking specimens so i was wondering if anyone has some experience with them or if either our vendors or any other LFS carries them.
ie:
during month 2. you can expect brown algae on your sand bed. that's natural as well unless you got a clean up crew. uhmmm....still waiting on that november group buy. AHHHHHH clean up clean up clean up!!! ;D
they definitely mark up their prices. i went there this past week and a flame angel was 80 compared to the norm 60 bucks. do they just flat out say screw the retail prices? I wish i noticed a cheapo frag like Audi0s. rafal mentioned their new tank, it's definitely a BEAUTIFUL TANK. but just like...
i also believe it's a good general rule to not add to fast to your bioload due to limited good bacteria.
after adding first fish give it about another 2-3 weeks before adding another.
also during your cycle you have nothing required dosing needs. so no need to do that as well.
you got the jist of it.
read through tale of the tank threads and watch everyone go.
- mix your salt to specific gravity w/powerheads etc running (reef usually 1.024-1.026) - this can be done the first time within the tank (while empty)
- basically you add your LR/BaseRock, LiveSand and all...
hey i would suggest taking a look at constantine's tank that he has for sale. IT'S AN AWESOME looking setup. i'd get it if i weren't heads up on my setup. or you can buy my cube and i'll buy his ;)
absolutely not. ;D
on a budget certified used is the way to go. reefcentral, here, nano-reef, craigslist, ebay (i would go for brand names only on this option).
i think you are better off just buying your own tank. everything that you said was included i think would be pretty useless
i'd go for a used 40 breeder. go out and price everything out.
tank, heater, hang-on fuge, light fixture (i'd go used for the first time) just so you know how it feels...
Paranormal Activity - close to Cloverfield with the horrible camera action. ate nachos with cheese and jalepenos and it came out (vomit). boring as hell (almost fell asleep) watched maybe hour if it before it made me sick
i have but not sure if they become aggressive or would cause problems with the later red scooter. i'm hoping to cover all areas of the tank. i was thinking a yasha goby
but would it be ok with too many that like being on the sandbed?
