mnat. you try a lot of chemicals. lol use a raw shrimp. cause ammonia spike as well.

i have a black/brown powder looking substance on my floor bed. i tried to clear it up but looks like it's making it's way back to the same amount. i'll have to take take photos to have better verification but i haven't heard/seen/read anything about this type of algae or problem while skimming...

that looked like a bit hectic setup on melevsreef but i doubt a "normal" reefer would have THAT many to worry about. i'm just looking for more outlets and safer/cleaner and easier to turn off things and being individually turned off is ALOT nicer than shutting down a whole surge protector.

i just setup a tunze 9002 and it's not producing any bubbles within the body of the skimmer. i fully opened and closed the airtube figuring no air was getting to the pump to produce. no go. i guess i'll have to take it apart. any suggestions?
