Yea, led's look awesome. Can't wait to see how bright it looks at full power. How did you install them, end to end (2x16)or side by side (4x8)?

I see you added a few more corals too. The brains look really nice. Like the clam too. It looks like mine actually... does it look purple from the side and blue from the top?

What's that purple coral on the bottom right side of the FTS shot? (The one that looks like it's on a sponge.)

Tanks looking great, looking forward to more updates.

Not sure what you mean but they come with rails and are mounted modularly on two 24inch rails.

What I meant about mounting the lights was, how will you line up the fixtures? Each one has 8 openings, with 3 LEDs in each. That makes each one look like this:
|    |
|    |

So, assuming I'm looking at your tank from the front... when you mount the fixtures side by side across your tank, which one will they look like?

|    | |    |
|    | |    |

or

|    |
|    |

|    |
|    |

or

Hope that makes more sense now. (PS, those smileys make pretty good LED lights, heh.)

About the clam... gotcha. I guess it's not like mine then. If you look at mine from the side, it looks purple, with some blue hi-lites. However, if you look at it from the top down, it looks all blue. Weird, but kind of cool IMO. ;D

Purple Gonipora? That's what I was trying to figure out, thanks. Again, everything is looking great!

Oar grass all died off.

I spoke to a macro guy and he told me its not one of the better marine grasses for tank. Its actually likes to tumble around on the bottum of the ocean and most times doesnt stay rooted.

Did he recommend any similar macros that grow better? I had the same problem with oar grass mine died off after not being able to keep it rooted. I might try tying some to a rock with fishing line next time I've read that works. Unless I can find another macro the gives the tank a similar effect.

I liked shaving bush plants...did pretty well for a while, and turtle grass was good too. I have considered them but don't have a lot or realestate left.

He said to try sargassum and turtle grass. The sragassum looks cool too.

Here is a early morning shot of my magnifica doing its morning ball up.

I saw that atlantic reef aquaculture was selling these old blue bottles with frags on them for 90 bucks. I went to ebay for 4.99 and soaked it in vinegar for two days.

The blue attacts coraline.

bottle is a bit distracting more than an appealing? it's definitely however you like your tank but with your overall look. i don't think it fits.
