Looking good. Almost ready to be stocked!

Just an observational question, but are you going to leave your heater & thermometer in the main tank like you have it, or is that just temporary? I like to put my heater in the sump and the thermometer in the overflow section, and stuck to the glass where it's hidden from view. No biggy, but was just wondering.

Looking real nice,,just make sure a cleaner magnet fits between the rock and glass wherever need be .

LOL i totally missed that, my heater will go in the over flow along with the thermometer.

Im working on lighting now.

Yea, I figured you probably just threw it in there to set it up quick, but were going to hide it a lil better later. But thought I'd mention it just in case. ;)

So, did you get the LED's already and are working on setting them up? Or are you working on getting them still?

For the time being im just going to get the LED fixture. Im going to wait on the profilux light bar till i see my old tank and equipment.

The profilux light bar can control tunze nano streams and the Aquailluminations fixtures. Passing clouds thunderstorms with darkness and lightening strikes.

I spoke with some more people today mostly regarding profilux and it seems like the way to go. It will control the lights and pumps. Ill leave my return pump on a seperate box.

Add some snails to the mix along with some Oar Grass.

Im going to see if i can use up nutrients in the sand bed by have two planted areas of this grass.

Sounds pretty cool...BTW you want me to tell Will to hold some cheato for you?

Yes and thank you sir.

Just need to go to AO to get a sponge and a powerhead and some fish.

So last night of course on impulse we bought some starter frags of purple zenia and a small small wall hammer.

Re: 45 Gallon Custom Marineland Tidal Reef Tank

So for this tank i have decided that i want to go kinda of natural and try to get this OAR Grass to fill the bottom of the tank and im going to add more islands or small reefs to the sand bed ones the grass fills out. I think the grass can aide in nutrient transport and give me a natural look.

I still have a huge portion left if anyone wants to try it out. Supposedly it doesnt need a DSB or overly powerful light.

Here are some pics.

Thanks for CHeato man,

I dont know any critters besides mandarins just because pods will be able to live amongst it. If you do let me know

I plan on have two beds on it on each side of my reef and maybe behind it too. I wanted to leave some sand open so i can get a twin spot goby.
