High mag can throw off calc and alk tests from what I understand. I'd start by getting you salinity in check. Bring I'd down slowly of course.

Hey noob . I think partially but cyano is also bacterial so it doesn't completely depend on light. Not sure if it'd be enough to kill it all. This may be a nube question but does lights out help with cyano?
Lol my brain doesn't like functioning properly anymore. I always forget the easiest things Lol.Hey noob . I think partially but cyano is also bacterial so it doesn't completely depend on light. Not sure if it'd be enough to kill it all.
Lol I'm just messing i do the same. Maybe you can siphon it all out and then go lights out for a few and see if that worksLol my brain doesn't like functioning properly anymore. I always forget the easiest things Lol.
My rocks are getting bad again with cyano. I can siphon it out every few days and it looks great but its back the next day and it can get really thick.
Alright that makes a lil more sense. Thanks Krista. The cyano is showing that you have excess nutrients. It is consuming the phosphates and nitrates. You need to remove them before the cyano can.
Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Live aquaria states it'll nip at sessile invertebrates and clam mantles.I don't have any experience with that particular angel, but my past experience with a flame angel and lemon peel has jaded me from ever owning one in a reef. I tried the flame first and it was a coral nipper. Then, the lemon peel was a coral muncher. It would eat all my LPS.
R u gonna come over and help me get him out when he's nipping? LolJust get it dan any fish is hit or miss I owned 2 flame angels and never had an issue other people say the nip take a chance
