Dan's 150 Rebuild

Call fish factory. Or if your up for the ride AO. Also before you check with BRS or marine depot or any other aquatics geared stores just do a general search for loc line. Many places carry it, I've often found it quite a bit cheaper.

Check out champion lighting. I know they sell if. They're in pa so even if they have to ship it shouldn't cost too much and be pretty quick

I just searched about 3 pages of Google results and all these places that sell them are about the same or even more than BRS. Ebay has full assemblies for $18.95ea and $6.95 shipping for all 3 units. would save me like $10-15 in shipping from BRS so i might go the eBay way if i cant find them elsewhere

nevermind, the guy on ebay only has 2 units left :/

Champion has them but more expensive than BRS.

Just ordered another 200g box of salt. Good thing I looked bc I only have 2 bags left. Definitely wouldn't have been enough come moving day Lol

cleaned out the 40g B earlier today, just siliconed in first baffle :) the tanks 36" long, so im gonna make the skimmer section(1st chamber) 11.5" long, enough to fit the skimmer long way and leave a little extra space incase theres something else i wanna add later. the Fuge is going to be about 15-16" big(2nd chamber), then the bubble trap will be out 2-3" for all 3 dividers and the final chamber will be only 6" long just to house the return pump. very similar to the sump i have now for the 90.

The sump that i made for the 90 has 4 dividers for the bubble trap so that the water enters the return chamber from the bottom(no splash noise). my question is, will it make a big difference if theres only 3 dividers? will it make a splashing noise or will the ATO help out with that matter?

For Loc-Line, if you don't mind the "Chinese" knock-off, search ebay for "flexible pipe." Here's an example I quickly found that was only 8 bucks...with free shipping:

I don't mind at all, but is that the only color they come in? Lol

I did a quick search, so I'm not sure about color. I will tell you that two of the split returns I have (Chinese Loc-line), costing $6 each, with free shipping, and are black. But realize, this was back in 2008. It might take a little creative searching on ebay.

Foster and smith has that stuff too but it is ala cart. Don't know what parts you need but it looks like the expensive stuff is valves and such.

Jing and I are going to AO tomorrow morning to grab a fish for her. We can pick something up if you want dan

Well kyle just informed me AO is double what BRS charges for all the locline parts. Guess I'll be ordering from BRS. Plus John gave me a $5 off coupon to BRS :) thanks again John!!

Yeah sorry dan! The prices were a little steep BUT the coral selection and the fish selection was amazing I hope you do get to go up one day its my favorite fish store so far.

Welp, just ordered all the locline parts I'm going to need. I siliconed in all the baffles in the sump. Let them dry for 48hrs(tomorrow is day 2). Having my stand and canopy dropped off tomorrow evening. Hopefully I can start staining it very soon

Minwax Polyshades is what I used on my stand and loved it. I used Black with a satin finish. I think I did 3 coats with a light steel wooling in-between each one. It also cleans up well too.

That is the stand cleansup well from stains and salt. The stain on your hands and clothes will be there a while.
