I haven't added any chemicals or any additives. Just put the rock in and this is what I got lolDid you add cyno medicine? That looks like the affect it had on my skimmer, was a while ago but looks familiar.
Nah its not the socks. I had the socks in way before the rocks and it was fine, no foaming at all. Its coming from the rocks for sure.New socks did that to me. Yank the sock and see if it stops.
Months ago when I was cleaning them. I bleached them and vinegared them. They were sitting out drying for a couple months before I put em in the tank.did you soak the rocks before you threw them in?

Well that's not what I wanted to hear... I'm gonna ride it out and see what happens over the next couple weeks. I've worked so hard to get where I am to take 2 steps back ya know?def the rocks. i'd pull them out and soak/flush in rodi. high chance they might leech in the future
Skimmer is not new however I did clean it up a few months ago with vinegar so that could be the reasoning too. Forgot about that.Sounds good dan .Slow and steady . was skimmer new ?Plus good thing socks are not foaming out . that is 1 reason i stopped puttin' on my socks.
Well I think the water change is what helped it out a ton. Did almost 30g so it should be good.I notice every now and then my skimmer goes into foaming crazy mode..for no reason....I found that just lifting the entire skimmer up and a slight shake...it settles down again... A water change never hurts.
