Dan's 150 Rebuild

def the rocks. i'd pull them out and soak/flush in rodi. high chance they might leech in the future
Well that's not what I wanted to hear... I'm gonna ride it out and see what happens over the next couple weeks. I've worked so hard to get where I am to take 2 steps back ya know?

I just got done doing a 25-30g water change and the water clarity seems to be a little bit better so far(floating debris). I turned the skimmer back on and its not rising to the top anymore. Its at the base of the cone so we'll see how that goes for the day, if it stays there for awhile, I'll tune it up a little bit

Woke up this morning, tank is looking a lot better! Skimmer is doing better, it got thru the major foaming stage I think. I still have to empty the cup every half day or so. And its still dialed all the way down. But no more foaming in the filter socks :) I also just changed out my carbon this morning so we'll see how it looks by the time I get back from work later on

Skimmer is not new however I did clean it up a few months ago with vinegar so that could be the reasoning too. Forgot about that.

I notice every now and then my skimmer goes into foaming crazy mode..for no reason....I found that just lifting the entire skimmer up and a slight shake...it settles down again... A water change never hurts.

Well I think the water change is what helped it out a ton. Did almost 30g so it should be good.

I added a bag of chemipure blue to my sump bc I started seeing little patches of GHA on my overflow. Not too crazy but I'd like to try and control it sooner than later. Also bought some GFO off a member from another forum.

anyone know what this is? I'm seeing more and more of them and i don't think I've ever encountered them.

Tested my tank today and I am rather surprised.

Salinity - apex says 1.023, my refractometer says 1.025 so not sure
pH - 8.28
ammo - 0ppm
nitrite - 0ppm
nitrate - 1ppm
phosphate - 0.00ppm(tested twice with Hanna checker)

I may go out and get a couple turbo snails to try and clean up the back wall and overflows
