Dan's 150 Rebuild

I did it! Super quiet now! Only hear a little trickle :) I replaced both 90's on the returns with closed, sawed a few slits into the one drain pipe and opened up one valve a lil more than halfway and boom! Quieter than my last tank.

Now I just gotta do the rocks, but that's tomorrow. Also will probably do a water change tomorrow

Here's a pic of a cloudy blue tank. More to come once it clears and i do the rock work..

Anyone know of something I can use for my skimmer to stand on? I have a homemade PVC stand but with how much water is being dumped now, its all flimsy. Would rather not have my skimmate dump back into the sump lol

I used egg crate and zip ties for the stand for my biopellet reactor:

Here is what I did: image.jpg
By doing this I added more live rock potential. If the detritus/phosphate police yell, well that's what a good old cleaning with a shop vac is for.

Haha if I had something to smooth out a rock I'd do that too!

John that's basically what I have now but its not glass as the table, its flimsy plastic

Mine is acrylic. Very sturdy. In fact it's out of commission as of 2 days ago. I could clean it up if you want it.

I'm good John thanks! Got some egg crate from MatteZ today so I'm just gonna make my own :)

Here's a FTS. Not sure I like the rocks but whatever.

looks ALOT darker in the picture. Surprisingly my light covers a good amount at 100%(not what I keep it at right now, 75% max)

I've done acros and montis with great results. I guess zoas would work as long as the light and flow are good.
