Dan's 150 Rebuild

Alright. Only took 2 hours but I redid my plumbing :) I decided to remake a 3 port manifold with the return pump coming up the middle to try and evenly distribute the flow. Well since its sitting on the right side of the stand, of course the right side has more flow. After hooking up my Biopellets and Carbon reactor and tinkering with a few things, I have it perfectly distributed :) success!

I also had the 2 pipes on the left side come down and go behind my stand and then come back in on the right side to give myself some more room.

Here's a few pics, I know it may be hard to see whats going on but hey, its plumbing lol

I also added 1 cup of Biopellets today to bring me up to 2.5 cups I believe.

Adding that 1 cup of biopellets yesterday really helped a lot. Did the Hanna checker 3x and got
0.03ppm
0.04ppm and
0.04ppm

Also tested on API and was close to 0ppm(color codes either 0ppm or 25ppm)

My nitrates are even lower between 2-5ppm(hard to tell but definitely not a solid 5 like it usually is)

Leds all the way. Why buy something else that costs you more electric AND you have to replace bulbs?? Idc what anyone says I had great color and growth with led and yes I also ran t5 for a year and a half. No comparison man

I agree with ya on the running cost for sure man Lol maybe I'm just over thinking this. My gf seems to think the tank looks okay but the corners are definitely shaded. Was gonna buy Dans reef radiance lights but they won't fit in my canopy. Looks like I'm leaning towards Kessils eventually.

Just buy Dans lights and then buy one more and you'll be good to go. That'll run you about 400 and you can sell your light and almost break even. The kessie are goona cost you at least 300 for a pair and the color won't be the same.

I did think about that, but my.only problem is I have a center brace in this tank. It doesn't have 2 braces like Dans tank does. So some of the middle light would be hitting the brace and probably creating a shadow column
Now that's a great idea Kyle agree 100%

Hey, be quiet you lol

Don't you have that issue now though? They are suppose to cover 36" each so with 3 I think they would spread around that
