Dan's 150 Rebuild

Well that is a diffetent story. A mag pump or something similiar is would be fine. I do the same thing with a mag 10. Are you just running a hose across the floor?

Well here's how I have it set up, trash can on left, tank on the right.

Was just gonna hook up a long enough hose to a pump and put it in the trash can.

Most any pump will do. What do you use for a mixing pump? When I had my 90 I just used a maxijet1200 to pump out the old. Then dropped it in the new to pump it back in. For that can I would say a mag 5 or 7 or equivalent would be perfect.

I still have my 32Gal. Brute and dolly I was going to put on the D&S forum if you think that would help, you could roll the can up to the tank. In fact, I still have about 25 gal. of SW in it that you can have.:highly_amused: If you want the lights, I'll make you a package deal.

Unfortunately the trash can is on a carpet right now so I don't think a dolly would help much, although I wish I could. It would make life easier for sure. I am interested in the lights, just gotta get the available funds lol

Those dolly wheels are pretty big and strong, could roll carpet np and if youre worried about marks in the carpet put some wood down for when storing it ;).

Yeah well I'm not worried about moving the trash can, its like 5ft from my tank right now so that's fine. I just wanna get a pump to get the water up n over lol

I used to do all my WC's from the sump, so I would just roll it up to the tank, and siphon the fresh SW back into the sump. (When I had the tank and brute on the same floor.)

Yeah I thought of doing it like that, but siphoning out of the sump takes forever without a pump(bc I'm usually sucking up detritus and other crap)

I think this way will work fine for me. Just gotta get a pump

Okay, back to my phosphates for a bit. Just tested the water again. Now lately I've been doing the test twice just to check to see accuracy. First time I did it, it came out to 0.17ppm. The 2nd time it was 0.22ppm. How is this possible? I have about 1.5 cups of biopellets in there now

Wait so this is used to just suck up water? I could use this for taking water out of the tank but not for putting back in. Plus I have a 5/8" hose I use for siphoning water out just fine. That, however, would be really good for cleaning a sump.
