Dan's 90G Reef

I would atleast soak it in RODI water for a day and test that water to see what your adding to the tank. If you think the levels aren't crazy high and can be managed via skimming wetter or upping WC is up to you. I just wouldn't put strait dry rock into the tank because there is always that chance.

Yeah that's a good point too. I'll do that then, I'll have to wait a few days anyways til I get to my day off Lol.

P.s. were already over $200 without Krista's order lol

To test par you need a par meter. It's basically a probe that is submersible and you put it in your tank in different locations. The probe is attached to the par meter which gives you your readings.

I think most people use the SQ-110 but i think the SQ-120 will also work. Dont quote me on that. It has been a while since i read up on them. There is a bunch of threads out there on using them.

Bottom frag is a purple bonsai. There are a couple different versions of this one, one with a slender growth pattern, another with a thick chunky growth pattern. Nice pickup regardless.

The one next to the blasto right? I got it awhile back and forgot the name of it. Pretty sure it browned out too but with green polyps

Yes. The original was called GARFs purple bonsai after the store that brought it in first. It is bright purple with green polyps and really a stunner of a coral. They get the better purple coloration in higher light, they tend to brown out when they are in lower light.

Interesting. Wonder how much of a higher light I need. I had it at the top of the tank and it still browned out
