I'm thinking of dosing peroxide (1ml per 10 gallons) for my brown algae problem in the near future. I want to try a lawn mower first. I've read of some good results.
I'm not sure if its new tank syndrome. Diatoms came and went. Or a light vs nutrient problem. My nitrates are 0, but the algae might be sucking it up and my Phos has been .05 until the RBTA suicide. Yesterday Phos was .13. Skimmer is running wet to pull as much as possible. Running GFO. Feeding lightly too. I did a 3 day black out and lowered the whites on the LED. Then I read low light might be causing my problem. My rock at the highest elevation is pretty much algae free...
Dieing for an algae free tank. I see the start of some coralline algae under the mess.
Thoughts?
