Nice work joe. I'm recovering from a phosphate spike also. Happened after I moved everything over to the new cube in August. Just recently got levels back to normal. It will take a while fand r things to color back up but they will.

3 days after turning off GFO PO4 is now 0.06. I know high PO4 is not good but zero is not good either. I am never able to maintain a optimum level with GFO.

Nitrate is high too. > 10ppm. Chaeto not growing well maybe due to the lack of PO4. Going to get a home depot CFL light which I had success with. If that doesn't work I will be DIY a Natureef style denitrator.

Quarterly update.

Setup the frag/QT/timeout tank finally. For now going to use it for QT and flow from the main system can be turned off and run a power filter.

Refugium - running the refugium now 24 hrs/day and PO4 and NO3 are close to zero. I think nutrient is the limiting factor now for macro growth. I do not run GFO or anything else at the moment.

Most of the corals are starting to tank off
