Innovative Marine 30 AIO Long

Honestly, I haven't had any issues with Petco, just be more selective when first picking them out. Make sure they look healthy, make sure they're swimming normal, no torn fins. Always ask if they can throw some food in to make sure they eat. Sometimes they'll throw in flakes, but I've never had anyone say no, if I ask them to throw some frozen foods (to mimic the diet in my tank).

Make sure the tank size is suitable and tankmates are compatible before buying. That'll minimize majority of the stress. A healthy, stress-free, happy fish should be able to resist and fight off ich by itself. Feed a healthy varied diet that's natural to them, supplement with nori, meaty foods, flakes pellets.. etc.

Yeah i made sure to choose the strongest swimming fish - checked for torn fins or issues. Just didn't ask to feed.. I'll be adding it to my book of tricks

so my tangs been in the tank 2 days hes about 1-2 inches in size he just showed signs about 4 dots atm, he eats nori like crazy and mysis shrimp should i attempt to setup a QT tank and do the whole copper phase or attempt having him fight the ich off?

I had a fish develop ich when I first started, didn't have space to QT. I just fed heavy and it went away by itself. Now take that with a grain of salt, I don't want to be giving "bad advice".. each scenario is different. I might've just gotten lucky. But it's been over 2 years now, everything fat and healthy.

You might cause more stress by removing from the tank... What else is in the tank?

Also purchased a Kessil A160we as I know I will upgrade my A80's and found a great deal! It arrived and works perfect waiting to install when I have 2.. unless you guys think I should replace one A80 with it now? Or even add it as a third light?
