It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Wendy, If two are better than one, I also have a UV unit (Coralife Turbo Twist 3X), you are welcome to use…current attached to a Penn Plax Cascade Canister filter (which you may borrow as well). All sitting empty. I’m in Sayreville if interested.

I do believe we were consumed with Ich on Wednesday. Happy Belated, Wendy! That's the day you should have gone to AO! :)

Thank you all so much. And yes, that was the day we were consumed with Ich. Alex got me 2 Phosban Reactors. They are not hooked up yet though. I want to use one to run Phosban and the other for carbon.

Meanwhile the battle with ich continues. Both my Clown Tang and Midas Blenny died on Thursday. :'( :'( None since then. The rest of the crew continues to eat really well, and some fish look to have cleared up completely while others are still showing signs of the parasite.

Picked up some nice corals from AO's anniversary sale, and will post some pics of them later. A few of you saw me go nuts at AO - I acted like a kid thrown into candyland. :-[

Thank you all so much for the unbelievable support. :)

I am sorry I missed you at AO..we needed name tags. Sorry for your losses for sure. Any thoughts I even had of putting my new fish directly into my tank ended immediately so I guess I am still learning stuff from you(though I did put my fish from my old tank directly into my new tank).

Wendy,

Sorry to hear about the clown tang and Midas Blenny. :'(

I just picked a Midas Blenny up from Will at the sale, really neat fish.

Funny we almost bought a Midas Blenny too. We decided to go with a Starry Blenny instead. Was a close call.

Thank you Bill, James, and Erna.

James, I've got a Starry Blenny, too - but he's still huffing and puffing from the spots, even though he continues to eat like a horse.

Erna, I always wanted a Midas Blenny. When I put one in my 75, the Kole killed him in a matter of 5 minutes. With the Kole gone, and the 180 up and running I got another. Once I have this ich under control (if EVER), I'll try another, because I love those guys.

I tried taking pictures of my new corals earlier, but my hands were really shaky, and I didn't use the Tripod, so please excuse the blurry pics.

I would be really happy if I could get pics as good as the second two.
What do you feed your Starry Blenny anything specifically? My two tangs and he were all eating mysis shrimp which I found a bit odd.

Oh he eats anything and everything he can swallow - seriously. I mean he does go after algae, but (knock on wood many, many times), I don't have all that much green stuff, so I just feed all my fish a very varied diet, and they all seem to eat anything I throw in the water.

Thank you so much, Bob.

Time for a wee tiny update. Hopefully I won't jynx myself now, but it appears as if all my fish are slowly recovering from the ich outbreak. I haven't lost any further fish, and the rest of them are eating well and appear to be doing better.

Here's a picture of my Firefish, who never seemed affected at all:

And my brand spanking new ORA Borealis - it's been in the tank for less than 10 minutes when I took the picture

Looks quite promising IMHO.

Been playing with the camera, trying to capture the corals under actinics and blue pluses only. I "think" these turned out all right.
