Hey ju, your back! That's great!!!
I like the rock, looks easy to stack. When will it be running?
I thought you might be out. I'm glad to see you aren't going to give up.

yup, I was considering taking a break for a while but I couldn't stay away. I still have a nice collection of corals, couldn't turn my back on those.

hopefully I'll have this filled with water in two weeks.

Rob also, what do you suggest using to make some holes for the return and drain on the plywood? one thing I totally forgot to add to the equation when we were building the stand! haha

You need a hole saw larger then the return and drain like 3" or just cut a square hole large enough for both that's what I did

Looks great Judeo! Love the way you have the rock set up! Its great to be able to look at your thread and some others that bought some of my stuff before I moved and see how things are coming along. Keep it up!

I like the rock work! The image with the spotlight on the branching coming from the left and right and meeting in the center reminded me of Michelangelo’s hand of God……I know, I need help!

Hey Guys,

I know I have been away for awhile, I've been in and out from the forum. I do apologize but I have just been busy with work and just general life. I have also been focused on getting the display tank stable and ready for coral. I have a few things still coming in the mail for my Apex controller to fully get it where I want it and I am also planning on upgrading the SOL to Hydra52s when the upgrades are available. However, it seems like the SOLs are doing a great job keeping my current corals happy. I now get first hand, why they have such a great reputation within the reefing community. My only complaint is that they aren't full spectrum fixtures, but thats just me being nitpicky.

I will try and be more active from now on as I do miss being part of the community. I feel lost looking through all the new post and I have no idea what is going with some of the other members tanks! haha

anyway, here is a current pic of the tank.. battling minor algae issues but nothing major as expected with a fairly young new tank. tank is stable and corals are healthy. the corals are what survived from my frag tank crash this past summer. mostly zoas and lps. I still have more to transfer but i'm taking it slow with the move. the coral placement are not final. i will not be putting any lps/zoa/palys anywhere near the top of the rock work as that is reserved for any future sps frags. currently a mess but i'll get everything placed once I figure out a nice layout of the corals
