Let’s build a tank

All right I am all done I have everything is pretty as I can get it so all I need to do is put the hardware on as in the hinges and the handles, then bring it upstairs.Tomorrow I will start washing the sump and get it together I will save Main Tank for last because it’s the easiest
Well today I got the hardware on the canopy that was about it,,nothing very event full I will be putting the tint on the sump baffles later on tonight,,so with the canopy 100% done I bought it up to my bedroom for safekeeping because this is where it’s going to go anyway, and and I didn’t want anything to happen to it in the garage while I’m still working on other stuff
You can see the corner of the one dresser and you could tell how good it matches my bedroom furniture

Looking Really good Paulie . cant wait to see it up and running soon.
nna be awhile before that happens,,if I don’t get back to ocean soon it’s just going to be a decoration. I still have to do plumbing, get a protein skimmer, refugium light, good light for display,, I have return pump but rather get new one,, oh and power heads(rotating),,,,,uggh what am I thinking having 2 setup going same time

I’m trying I got plenty of time so I’m just going slow but my poor wife she just knows what’s coming and she’s already trying to stop it I told her wait too late,, It matches my bedroom furniture perfectly it’s gonna look awesome
I thought it was going to go into the living room with the plumbing going into the garage... or is that going to be another tank?
:chuncky: Personally I wouldn't put a tank in the bedroom... not in it enough other then sleeping to enjoy it.
My husband mentioned that he didn't want even one tank and now there are three. I said one is temporary...

Don't know if it is strong enough but I have a Mag 5 I'm not using

Today I got all the hardware on the main cabinet everything came out perfect except one very small detail the one handle is the 16th higher than the other handle it’s definitely not noticeable but it’ll drive me nuts because I know right now is in the garage being dried out nice and thorough and I will be bringing it up to my room this evening for safekeeping then I can start washing the big tank
Might even wash it this afternoon so I can put it all together in one shot tonight

The living room Tank is just a pipe dream my wife would never let me cut a hole through the house

Th

Thank you, I’m trying
Ok things are coming along got tank nice n clean (OCD) certified,, except for one little thing that is driving me crazy,,, there is a line one the back and side where previous owner had something siliconed onto glass for his filtration system. Anyway I scrubbed and razor bladed used vinegar everything I could think of
If anybody has a secret potion or knowledge on how to get it off
Please let me know
Tonight I’m gonna finish tint on sump baffles (The wife wants all the crap out of her living room)

Paulie it looks amazing.
Since I’m sure you don’t want to use any harsh chemicals, the only thing I can think of using is a heat gun on very low ( or a hair dryer) and lightly scraping it again, or rubbing alcohol with one of those pink no scratch scrub pads to remove any remaining reside. I’ve had luck doing that at work to get silicone off of glass and other things. It’s all I can think of right now, sorry I couldn’t be of more help, but that should work. I know how you feel, even if it can’t be seen, just knowing it’s there would drive me nuts.

Thanks I was thinking same about heat gun or hair dryer,, I like the alcohol idea also I’ll do both tomorrow along with sump
I might even tint the back and both sides of big tank also,,,, will help with sun thru windows
