My first build thread (29g Biocube)

There are some sweet zoas in there, where did you order your pack from?

I got a frag pack from secretreefer on Reef2Reef. He was really generous, I was only supposed to get 2 polyps per frag, and I got waaay more then that ! It was the sweetest. We just recently picked up on another frag pack, but that doesnt come til next wednesday.

Pretty sure this is a solution to the problem, and not water level. Unless the water is completely filling the entire tank, but that wouldn't make sense since they mentioned that it was flowing over that wall. Could be the pump is too strong, but that would make the water level fluctuate constantly.

Make sure water is flowing from the first chamber, then make sure that the it isn't the pump.

Everything is fine now! Its been quiet as of this morning. Kyle told me to check the filter pad and lo and behold, it was the old one from the previous owner, and I had forgotten to change it.

Thanks for all the help guys !

Update 9/8:

I got my bengaii cardinals ! I cant get a picture of them they like to hide within the rockwork, but their names are ben and jerry.

Does anyone have any problems with blennies and cardinals? Yesterday I noticed that one of the cardinals got really close to albert. Like, all over his grill. So Albert nipped at his fins ! I took the cardinal out and moved him to the other side of the tank in hopes he stayed put. I didnt have any problems with them today, and his fins were fine.

Is my Albert a mean fishie??

I'm a big fan of liveaquaria.com. I spend hours on that site reading all about the fish. They do a good job at having a "fish spec sheet" for each one.

They are fine. He is just establishing a territory. If he was actively attacking the fish then youd have a problem

You're off to a great collection of zoa's! Your tank will be filled within no time! just be careful though, Z/P's can get slightly addictive. You'll find yourself with a bigger tank sooner than later. lol

Update 9/12

Kyles new lights came in, which means I got mine ! From the little I know, they are white and blue spectrum LEDs. Right now they have to be manually adjusted as the timers we have have the wrong prong.

I wanted a light rail because I was afraid there wouldnt be enough support for my ceiling.

Looks great. Just remember to very slowly acclimate the corals to the new led.

I will !! I have them all at the bottom and then I think you and kyle said give it a week to start slowly moving them up, right ?

And Dan, I hope so ! Your tank is like two sizes of me.

Thanks for the advice guys but the zoas came from my tank which was lit by the same light, literally the same light. After a week they should be good. They honestly dont need any acclimation but were taking the precaution anyway. No need to rush anything
