Get ready for that to grow FAST. Mine molts about once a month. I saw it just after and I thought I had 2 in there. Very cool to see actually. Generally I just find a piece of shell floating around.

Those shrimp can hide pretty well, so give it a day or two before you panic.

Mine "vanished" in a 30g, took me a day or so to find him.

I think I just expected to see him out and about because the one I got a few years back was full grown and never hid other than to shed. Being this one is alot smaller I can see him fitting into some tight spaces.

I've read and it is also my experience that shrimp will moltvery soon after placing in a new tank. that may be the reason for hiding.

Well the coral banded is still MIA. But here is some updated shots. I got a few higher light SPS so I had to do a little rearranging of rockwork.

Well I think I need to pull my hermits. I got 6 new Super Tongan Nassarius Snails and the hermits came and attacked them. I like the hermits but I need the snails to stir the sand around. I have a halloween hermit in my FOWLR so I might trade him out for the redlegs in the reef tank.

Invert Update

Just a small update. So my Cleaner shrimp has decided I'm a big fish and comes over to my hand to clean it when I'm doing anything in the tank.

Also still not 100% on the status of the Coral banded. Found a freshly shedded skin today but still no sign of the actual shrimp. Don't know if its in a hole and doesn't want to come out or if it died in a hole and a bristle worm ate it and pushed the shell out.

My shrimps do the same. They tend to hide for a day or two to let their shells harden again. If a bristle worm ate it. man that's a big bristle.

I use to have a couple 1'+ bristle worms, but I think they died off or were eated since I have a pistol shirmp always snapping awat at something and I don't feed as heavy since I'm heavy SPS.
