Nice nano. Does the clown host in anything? What pump (& GPH) do you have in there for flow?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Welcome Twan. Tank looks great. I like all the Pom Pom's.

11 months ago the Xenia started this small, 1 stalk:

The main pump was replaced with a MJ900 with a hydor attached. Recently I also added a Tunze Mini, that is pointed from left to right low in the tank behind the rockwork to get some unidirectional flow (as the mj with the hydor is constantly spinning). For reference here is the link to the mini http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merc...een=PROD&Product_Code=T5024.04&Category_Code=

I’m going to do two separate posts here.
1st will be updates on current corals and the 2nd will be the new additions.

Here are the old corals. Tank is now 1 year old.

6-month-old candy cane splitting heads.

Dying Hydnophora. It was relocated here for better light. It’s now dying from the bottom up.

Pink Zoo getting more and more polyps finally. Wish I had left these by themselves and not put them in the zoo garden. Growth has been slower then the others around it.

More Xenia moving to the back wall.

Now onto the new additions.

New Orange Monti Cap.

New Mean Green Zoa in the back. Unknown zoo in front.

Another unknown new zoa. Ill call it “fleck” for now.

New zoo colony on Tonga Branch. These were sold as gumball. They are a deep maroon with a pink ring and purple mouth. It maybe hard to see in these pics. According to Rob they may morph to a deep red under PC’s. Whatever they are I love them and having a piece of Tonga in the tank gives it some character. First shot is up close. 2nd is of the whole piece.

New toadstool leather. Its arms are out but polyp’s on the end are not fully open. I guess its still acclimating. Nice piece still.

Nuclear Green Pally’s.

Three new Florida ricordia’s. My favorite coral. I had one Florida months ago that detached itself from a rock and never recovered. I then had a Yuma that melted for some reason. Let’s hope these thrive.

Tank looks good. Nice and full. The rock looks real close to the side walls, is it really close? How do you get that part of the glass clean? That's gotta be one of the challenges of a nano... using the real estate without impeding the cleaning process.

I keep all of my hydnophoras (4 different varieties) in the sand on the bottom of my tank. My bright green one actually prefers less light than full (so that one's under a ledge) though under PCs I had my pink on the top of the rock work. The only time I lose the bottom of my hydnos are when they sit too deep in the sand. The ones I have all get MAD flow and blow around like crazy at the bottom of the tank. Maybe increasing the flow would help it some? Was it doing better or worse in the last location?

It's not as close as it looks. I can get a nimble nano magnet to 100% of my glass without moving anything.

It was doing better in its last location. It was where the cap is now. I'll move it back next week probably.

I would be carefull with the cap under PC's.

Will do, I got my fingers crossed. Im at 6wpg now but I know they like better spectrum lights like t5/mh.

I kept a cap quite happily under PCs (the growth wasn't great, but the color was). It bleached and died when I went to MHs. :(

Beautiful setup. I enjoyed your sharing the setup chronology you had on another forum, just as I am enjoying following Constantine's experience on our forum
