Cool, welcome, and I like your thinking…..slow is the way to go with this hobby. Start a “Tale of the Tank” for your nano and definitely a Tale for the 90 when you get that started. I too have a 90 with a 40 breeder sump.

Welcome to the club, where did you get the LED upgrade for the 12g hood? I have been looking for one since nanotuners went away.

Welcome to the club, where did you get the LED upgrade for the 12g hood? I have been looking for one since nanotuners went away.

It was a DIY kit from nanotuners (they are gone now, sadly as they made great products from nano AIO tanks. I heard good things about stevesleds.com from a couple of people. I'll be using them then I build the lights for my 90.

My name is Mike. Born and raised in PA, but I moved to NJ after college in 96. So, I've been
here a while. I live down in Howell (in Monmouth County). By day I run the Information Security
Program for a financial firm, By night I am a family man with a wife, 2 kids, dog, 2 cats, and 6 fish (freshwater).
I also collect fully size video games and pinballs from the 80s in my basement. I've had freshater fish for
years but I have been bitten by the saltwater bug and have to get a reef tank going. Ideally I am looking to
build out a 200+ gallon tank.. so I'm sure I'll have tons of questions.. Just posted one actually. I look forward
to interacting and meeting people here, and one day helping others get started.

Thanks, Mike
