Zippys tank

Pete it never fails you make us green with envy
Thanks.Lol
Wow is all I can say Pete....
You'll get there too. Just need time.
After almost 2 years in this hobby, only now can I fully appreciate what you have achieved here. This is an art. Well done sir.
Thanks Brian, those are very kind words. The building part is nice, but once it starts to grow out its fun to relax and watch.

The porites looks amazing Pete, and so does everything else. Let us know what else we can send your way to grow into big colonies.

Corals are fantastic colors! System made me a little dizzy haha, but after close study at work, because you know reef tanks are much more interesting than banking, I have figured out most of. What is the small item in middle of the 29G?

Thanks guys but remember the most important part of ANY build is what follows with careful planning

I love your tank, but do I see ice in whiskey. Tisk tisk haha

Naw, it's sipping tequila! Good old Don Julio Repesado, I prefer anejo. Now of it were bourbon.....preference being woodford, neat is nice but if I'm haggard from the day then I have a 1cube rule! Lol

So I've been thinking of what rob ( hockeynut) did to his canopy by adding some t5 lights to the led array. I figured I would do the same to try and get a little more random light getting rid of the shadowing from maturing corals. So I got a retrofit kit from bulk reef with 24 inch bulbs. I've never ever had a t5 but opted for 4 coral max ati.

So it does make a difference by adding a layer of background lighting. I've noticed shrooms on the floor and off to the side bigger today with the lights running.image.jpgimage.jpg

Very nice Pete! I agree the t5's really add light where the leds may be shadowed a bit.

Pete that looks great really like the color of corals can you fill me in one what you are feeding the tank?
What LEDs are you running reef breeders?
I think I need to add some LEDs
Are you dosing or running a reactor?
