I have been looking at those tanks too but the stand I have will hold just under 12x16 footprint and the filters that I am seeing won't work for the little guys...suck them into overflow.
Aqueon LED 7.5 Gallon Shrimp Aquarium Kit looks promising but I have a call in to the company but again...
I thought that too but the $1 sale started with the 10 gallon tanks :mad_new: And he didn't have any in stock anyway. $13.99
I asked in local fb add if anybody had one they weren't using. Person answered but turned out to be 10 gallon.
I know, right? I loved when I had my big horses. Where I...
Okay guys, I am really thinking of giving up on these dwarfs. I cannot believe that they take so much time to care for.
I lost another girl so I am down to 4 adults but had more babies so I am up to 7 or 8 babies now... not sure how many because lost one of them too.
I go thru about 2 gallons...
I used a rigid tube going to it. It was in the corner so wasn't seen. I cut it an angle leaving a little lip that I heated to turn it up a bit so food went into the shell and not behind it. I would use a turkey baster to put in and slowly push down to shell. I would clean weekly with tube...
Great on the aeration!
My babies are tiny tiny lol They just look big because of the camera shot. Remember, this is a 2.5 gallon tank and that grating has 1/4 inch squares, But now that I think about it, you are right. When my erectus had babies they were tiny too but many many more. Maybe...
Anyone in Tuckerton area have some extra copepods?
I have some dwarf seahorses and they can use a pick me up at the moment. There are only 4 ponies so I don't need much.
I've been hatching the bbs but I'm not in position to keep and breed the copepods yet.
I can trade some red grac macro if...
Ughh... can find 3 babies but lost an adult this morning. This all started when I couldn't get rid of those hydroids and put them in QT then nuked the filter rocks in hob. Since the last death, I was thinking that the rocks may be holding too much fen for the tank. So I disconnected that...
You should still cycle before putting the ponies in. They are sensitive to ammonia and nitrate spikes.
That water you got is great but it sat without aeration so stuff would have died off.
I have a FOWLR and I do 10% weekly water changes mainly because I know I overfeed :rolleyes2: It is an AIO tank so water goes thru filter media and charcoal on a regular basis. I change the media every week with the water change.
I also have macros that help with keeping the tank good. (but did...
I am going to do a water change, and remove some of the lava rock and replace with new from 20 gallon in case the rock absorbed too much panacur for the little tank. Apparently it continues to leach out of the rock so can't be put back to 20 gallon.
They had black poops but thought that was the...
There was a lot of red under the pink so I trimmed it down and it is looking better.
The blue broke away from it's rock as I was moving it down so I pulled some of the white off as I was tying it down again. There was blue under the white and it is starting to look better.
