Can anyone recommend a steel stand fabricator? After last week's rain the basement flooring was damaged, and it's about time to do it the right way. That leads to moving the tank sitting on the damaged flooring, and hence why not take the time to get the tank/stand I wanted in the first place...
I actually have both, but could only frag the superman Monti as it was the only one hanging off the rock. Give it a week to heal then hit me up if anyone wants it. But my assumption is that if absolutely fish has them, they'll already have them. You can see before and after. The frag is in the...
I have 4 tuxedo urchins, and saw one eat the tops (algae covered) off some dead sps coral, actually saved me some trouble, and the coral has rebounded. Literally ground off about 3/8 to half inch of dead sps skeleton to get to the algae. So as long as I have algae I'll have them!
My Kenya tree dumped babies all over. I have about 5 or six, free to a good home. I'm in Bergen County. Drop me a pm if you're interested. I'm around this weekend. Mother colony pictured. You can see the babies on the lower left.
Is there any benefit to carbon dosing if you're already low nitrates/phosphates? I have to add nitrates daily even though I feed heavily. My chaeto and giant skimmer take most inorganic nutrients out, but of course there's always organics in the water which help the small population of gha on my...
I second Chemiclean, works great, no issues with anything but cyano die off. Only issue is that I got a brown film algae that lasted a week after and smothered to few small Frag that were new, so make sure everything is healthy before hand.
Yup, drop me a PM if you're interested in picking some up this weekend or Monday I may be around. Basically I throw out a decent sized ball every few weeks, so just depends on when it was last cleaned.
Full Disclosure, I have pods in them, but also Asterina starfish and fireworms possibly (You...
I keep thinking about it, but for the cost and effort, I just keep my alk around 10 which gives me around 8.2. I also installed a fresh air exchange unit (erv) from Panasonic when we did the basement, so it keeps a decent amount of fresh air mixed in the room of the fish tank.
Let me know if someone runs out of asterina starfish. I'm actually partial to them, but I'd also hate to see a harlequin die from starvation. I have a 110 with hundreds of them.
