LTB - Centerpiece (Browns Mills, 08015)

I agree. I think a cap would do well under those T5's. We kept cap successfully when all we had were PC's. Of course, having seen my tank, you know that I'm a little partial to caps as the centerpiece ;D

    Coral Beauty or Flame Angel

Why not go for the best of both worlds and get a Clarion Angel? They sort of resemble a cross between the two . . . of course they're a little hard to find and range in price from $2500 to $3500. I think a school of them would look great in your tank, though!

    Rod's Food?

I use it and love it! If you have tangs or other herbivores, get the stuff with the green label because it has macro algae along with the meat.

Welcome to NJRC! Good luck with your 20g and just know that before long you're going to find yourself saying "I could put a 120 right over there. It won't be tooooooo bad if I have to move it!"

    RO/DI water

Check out the Water General units sold by FilterDirect on eBay. You can get 110gpd RO/DI unit for somewhere around $140 including shipping. It's a pretty solid unit. We've been using it for a long time now. As far as replacement parts, typically all you need to replace are the filter...

Jersey shore fish & invert collecting.

We've done a few dives at the Belmar Basin. It's a good area to seine and dive for tropicals. It's definitely a fun way to spend a day. Plus there's Windmill right across the street with killer Chili Dogs! Hmmm . . . I'll have to see if we're free on the 26th and tag along.

    Who has them?

It's a mostly LPS tank and everything seems to be happy with them. I had used them for a long while and everything looked good. I switched bulbs for a year and am now back to Reflux.

    Who has them?

We're using 250W 12K reflux bulbs. IMO, they have a nice crisp color and are not too blue at all.

Stil having some trouble with my acans

We're in this boat too all of a sudden. I've had acans thriving for years and all of a sudden they don't look very good. ALL of them are closed up tightly, expect the orange crush and agent orange. If I figure out what our problem is I'll post it, but right now I'm stumped. . .

    June 2009 Meeting Thank You!

Thanks for hosting such a great meeting Herbie and Anna. Your tank is really amazing. It just goes to show how important good flow is! Besides all of the coral, your fish are beautiful too. They're so big and healthy looking. It was nice meeting all of the new people, even though they (an a...
