Very nice! I'm bummed I missed your meeting. I would have liked to see your setup. Now that you have this new one, you may need to host another one ;)
Congrats and good luck with it.
Ayy Mon. That's where we went for our honeymoon (Sandals in Negril). What a great place. The snorkeling and diving there is really cool. Have you seen enough bluehead wrasses yet? Wow, there were a ton of them EVERYWHERE last time we were there.
Congrats and enjoy.
Take a plastic water bottle and cut it in half just below where the neck becomes the bottle. Flip the neck around so that it is in the bottle. Punch a couple of holes around the seam and use zip ties or string or something to keep them together. Bang, instant shrimp trap! Tie a string on there...
I saw positive results when I started using it. Can I guarantee they were from the ecoaqualizer and not some strange coincidence that caused my tank to improve at the exact same time? No, but I believe it made a difference. I've been told I was wrong and that it is impossible, though . . . .
That sounds like a pretty good mix, except for the mandarin. You'll have to wait a while for that one. They need a really mature tank and even then success with them is hot or miss (and sadly it's mostly miss). You could go with a couple of scooter blennies. They're hardier and make a pretty...
Hi Patrick, Welcome to NJRC, we're glad you found us. If you ask a lot of questions and do a lot of reading, I'm sure you'll learn enough to be successful in this hobby obsession.
Good choice on the Red Sea Max, BTW, they're really nice tanks. If I weren't in the process of breaking down most...
LOL! Damn, I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out. That's too funny.
Remember, I have a plenty of empty tanks. Just like the guy on the street corner, "The first one is free. . . . "
It's definitely a voltage tingle. I stick my hand in the sump and it's there. I stick it in my top off water and nothing so it's not a salt sting. I'm glad that it's not in the display but I still need to ID the source and get rid of it.
Thanks for all of the input so far.
Well now I'm thoroughly confused. I took the ground probes out and there is nothing in the sump but I'm still feeling the tingle. I only feel it in the sump, though. I'm not feeling anything in the display or frag tank so I guess I'm OK with it, it's just very strange.
I was digging around in my sump earlier and had a little nick on my finger. As soon as I stuck my hand in the water I could feel the familiar tingle of stray voltage. I figured now was the time to find the culprit. I took everything out of the sump, all of the heaters (which were off), pumps...
Re: Brian's 225g Monstrosity!
It looks great Brian. What a fun tank swap! Talk about a plan coming together perfectly. I'm sure you're really going to enjoy that size.
