i usually did 4 weeks worth of copper when i treated, and leaving the tank fallow for 10 weeks is a better number, it's about a 100% success rate, 6 weeks it's not 100%, i'm not sure the exact percentage chance of ridding the tank of ick.
Have a few frags available. Red planet, purple bonsai, a red acro with white polyps and growth tips and it gets green coloring in its base, it is tabling in my system, and a coral called a blueberry acro. I've included a photo of what the blueberry acro looked like when i purchased it, has...
personally, i'd go with the 202-s, great skimmer, i've had no issues with it, other than i wish it was larger, but i have a 150g system, it's been pulling a ton of skim mate for me. I was also debating on selling it and upgrading to a larger skimmer for my tank. It's quiet, i have no air bubbles...
$25, it has a little bit of the reagent left, new ones can be bought for 8 bucks on brs last time i checked. Located in south jersey, will also consider trades for coral.
Just another update, the nitrate dosing is bringing the phosphate levels down, i've gone from 16ppb phosphorus to 5ppb. nitrates are sitting around 1ppm. Skimmer is pulling out more crap in 3 days than it use to in 3 weeks. I ordered that co2 removal media, it works, but judging from how fast...
Honestly, if he is eating well and it's been a few days he will get over it. Don't panic and set up a at, the stress will affect your fish. Just my experience, but I've had ich three times, first time and second time took out half my fish or more. I also pulled and q/Ted the fish. The third time...
I've had that happen, always a joy to clean. I have another bad habit though, i put a pump into my ro water with a line leading to my 15g top off bucket for my tank. Well, every damn time i fill it, i forget about it, walk away, and i have 5-10 gallons of water on the floor waiting for me when i...
I've slowed it down since the first few days, 1 tsp will give me about 1ppm nitrate, which will be gone by the morning, if i show an increase from the day before, i'll back off. Just trying to keep the nitrates detectible is all at this point. Honestly i thought the algae would get worse with...
after a day, nitrates went from 5 to 2.5, phosphates came down from 15ppm to 13 ppb, without the reactor so this seems to be working so far. The skimmer has pulled out more in two days than it usually does in two weeks. I'd imagine this will be a longer battle as the phosphates have had time to...
