    mag flake

Sounds good. Let me know if you have any plans to come down this way. If not, I know Phyl would like to take a trip up there too. I know we're busy this weekend but we should be able to work something out.

    mag flake

Right now it's sitting at our house in Jackson (where the February meeting was - dog and all :o ) We may be able to move it north to you if you can't make it down this way.

We have a bag or two we can spare. We'll just have to figure out how to get it to you.

So I found a 24 jbj nanocube with stand....

The level in the display tank is dependent on where the drain hole is. If you buy one of those surface skimmers I mentioned, you can position them so that the water level in the tank is just above the trim ring so you never see the water line. Evaporation will be evident in the third chamber in...

So I found a 24 jbj nanocube with stand....

Did you try letting that fan run for a few minutes? One of the fans on my 12g used to make a bit of noise for the first few minutes but after it ran for a little while (2 or 3 minutes) it would quite down.

Things we shouldn't keep - successes and failures.

Yeah, they were still there as of last Saturday.

So I found a 24 jbj nanocube with stand....

Congrats on the new tank! One word of caution, those JBJ 24's have been known to crack. There's something about the curved glass on a tank that size. I'm not trying to scare you but just cautioning you to not move it or jar it once it's filled. Other than that, they're great little setups. I...

Things we shouldn't keep - successes and failures.

One big <<<ANTI-JINX>>> to everyone who is claiming luck with normally hard to keep species. I won't say a thing about whether or not we are having success with anything, easy or hard. EVERY TIME I do, I wind up flushing it!

    MP3s to The Receiver?

Man I'm out of touch. I just read what you wrote and it was a visual version of Charlie Brown's parents talking! I don't know a DRM from an AIFF or whatever the heck you just said! And Brian, you'll have to walk me through that process. You'll need to talk to me like I'm a 5 year old . . ...

auto top off question when on vacation

You're right, the T5 was on another tank! My JBJ had PC's on it, sorry for the confusion.

    MP3s to The Receiver?

LOL, Jim! Sadly, I am as guilty as the kids of monopolizing the TV with games. Brian, is there anyway to get the PS3 to recognize my iTunes library? That's where most of my music is.

auto top off question when on vacation

I had a 12g nano in my office for a few years. It had the standard hood with T5 lighting and I never really need to worry about evaporation either. I'd make sure it was really full before I went on vacation and then top it off when I got back. If you have some time, try filling yours up and then...

Call of Duty 4 - War Room Help!

Bob, maybe THIS will help. I haven't palyed the "game" part of it (I only play the multi player online version) so I'm not sure if this what you're talking about.

Do we have any tank and stand builders yet?

what 250w se bulbs do you use???

We're using IceCap 14K's. I really like the color, they have nice crisp bluish color. Our coral growth and color is pretty good.

    Plumbing Dual Overflow

Here is how mine is done: The dashed line is the drain, the solid line is the return. It works really well.

    Pickling Lime?

FWIW, I never liked the results I got from using Mrs. Wages. I've found ESV to be much better. JME, though.
