Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Depends on who you talk to and how old the pumps are. They do get a little loud up in the 80-100% range. But most of the time I can not hear them over the noise from my skimmer. I do have one that is over 3 years old and it might be time to replace the bearings in that one.
When curing rock, you want to keep it out of direct light, the less light the better and no light is preferred. As the rock cures, nitrates and phosphates will rise and both fuel algae. You don't want your new rocks to be algae covered so kill all light if possible.
Gee I wonder how those pamphlets got there... ;)
I've been in contact with them and they are still busy and in a whirl wind of setting up the store. I've mentioned the site and also mentioned about the up coming frag swap. They want to get settled a little and work on their grand opening...
Way back, before I got my MP-10's, I ran two EVO's on my reef keeper and the same clicking noise drove me nuts! I tried 10s, 30s, 1min, 5min, and I eventually just had them switch every hour.
Some new additions to the tank:
Picked up these two really nice looking frags on the right from OGII last weekend.
FTS as of 2/16/13:
End to end shot of the reef:
+1 to that!
I've had the Vegas on my tank for almost 2 months now and love them.
I see you updated the firmware, I still have to do that. In the pic, you have all colors equal, have to adjusted the setting? I have mine set 40% white, all blues 60%, and red and green 15%
I'm about 75%...
I have the RO XS160 and RO 110. If you are looking for a quiet skimmer you should take the 160 off the list. It's not really loud like OMG this skimmer is driving me nuts loud, but it is audible. The sicce pump draws so much air to can hear it.
110 would be a better choice and is a good...
+1 Love my Vega's! The Color compared to the SOL's, there is no comparison and no need for supplementation and bulbs to replace every year.
If you do go a route that requires the ALC for the ReefKeeper, I have one I'm not using since I have the AI controller for the Vega's.
