I would test out your current unit before doing anything. You can tell if the membrane is bad by testing the TDS before and after the membrane to test the rejection rate, this is VERY easy. If your membrane is indeed bad, I would buy the spectrapure refurb for around 120$. Mine is over 4 years...

+1 but I put super glue gel on both sides of the epoxy. The gel sticks and the epoxy makes a good surface.

Back to coralife, great calcium and mag, alk of 7. Mixes quick and clean, used it for 5 years prior to rc.

I am getting off of rc because of the high alk, around 13. I prefer to keep my alk around 7.

Likely unfortunately, uvs do not have a good track record

You don't need to remove the led to test it with a multimeter, also the first couple generations of uv leds used did not take heat well and burnt out

Is it easy to open the case? Should be easy to swap new leds with a solder iron. You can also easily check if an led is bad by bridging it with a multimeter

Are the fans still working properly? Could also be an area of the fixture that gets the hottest. I would not think it could be the controller because it would affect all leds in the string (all blues). My money would be on bad leds or bad solder connections.

That's really high calcium for io, did you use any other calcium additive besides kalk?

What salt mix are you using? And I prefer my alk between 7 and 8. Natural ocean water is 7
