    Conversion to 180g

This pic looks like we're keeping a "COWYT" tank (Coral Only With Yellow Tang!) For those of you who know the story with our tanks, can you believe there is coraline on the glass! I was shocked when we put on the black background and saw it. That pic was taken late at night, just after we...

Hey Bob, check out the vendors forum. If I'm not mistaken, someone just posted that they have test kits in stock.

    Starting the cycle, need Fish

To be honest, I don't think you're going to find too many people here that will advocate the use of live fish for cycling. It's really not a fair thing to do to the fish, no matter how hardy they are. You can have just as much success (perhaps even more) using a cocktail shrimp or feeding...

    Salifert Magnesium test help Please!!!

Good call, Matt. I would definitely recommend backing up any unusual or questionable results with a different test kit.

    Salifert Magnesium test help Please!!!

I doubt Tropic Marin would put you off the charts. If it is high, just let it ride and keep an eye on things. It should come down on its own without any ill effects to your tank.

    Salifert Magnesium test help Please!!!

If you added the entire syringe of MG-3 and the test vial didn't turn from pinkish/purple to gray, it would mean that your mag is completely off the charts on the high side. If it started out blue/gray and stayed that way then your mag is off the charts on the low side. Either way, I would...

live rock roots ? mystery live rock hitchhiker?

The one worm I can think of that moves amazingly fast and has a ring of teeth/bristles around the head is a eunicid worm. Here is a pic of a 10" one we pulled from our tank a while ago: There are mixed feeling about these. We thought it was OK until we saw it distressing a welsi brain. It...

Looking for ATI bulbs in NJ

Have you checked with TFJ Pet Center? They are one of our sponsors and offer local pick up in Toms River. I'm not sure if they have what you're looking for but it may be worth looking in to.

    Rehypes 40 gallon zeroedge

That's pretty sweet. How hard was it to level? Every time I've ever thought that I'd like to have one of them, the one thought that slams me right between the eye's is "I'd never be able to get that thing level!"

Pet plus is a plus in my book!

Welcome and congrats. You should see if you can stretch out that luck and come to a meeting. We do frag raffles at each one and with your luck, you'd probably clean up! Oh wait, I usually enter the raffles too, so forget that! Besides, you'll need to wait a bit for the tank to mature. So skip...
